Horizon magazine was established in 1980 as a news sheet and has developed over the years into a 32 page glossy and colour magazine. It’s a monthly magazine and covers North Belfast. It is also distributed by subscription to other countries such as USA, Australia, the UK & Republic of Ireland. The main aim of this project is to Promote Flax Trust International.

The magazine is treated by us, the staff (voluntary) as a fun publication and we enjoy putting everything together. There’s a bit of everything from old photographs to the present day photographs, stories from local writers, what’s on at the movies and local bars. The local schools also get involved whether it’s a school presentation or a football match. We enjoy getting everyone in the community involved to keep the magazine running. Our advertisers play a big part in the funding of the magazine as this is a non-profitable magazine. Horizon Magazine is for everyone young and old.
