Bannside Development Centre in Portadown houses several cross-community organizations and projects which exist to cater for the identified social, economic and welfare needs of the local community and surrounding areas.

The Centre has a Creche, an After-Schools Club, Drop in/Coffee Shop, over 50’s Group, Creative Writing, Arts and Crafts, Adult Education, Theraputic Centre, Mediation, T’ai chi Chih, Counselling for adults and children, OAD Community Association, Computer Suite, Business Start-up opportunities, and rents affordable space to groups and businesses. It encourages voluntary help from the local community thus tapping into a wealth of local skills, knowledge and expertise whilst encouraging a sense of ownership and self esteem in one of the most deprived areas of Northern Ireland.
