The Flax Trust Christmas Concert on 18th December 2019 was in St Patrick’s Church, Donegal Street, Belfast in aid of the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
Noel Thompson BBC was Master of Ceremonies.
The City of Belfast Youth Orchestra (CBYO), Conductor Paul McBride, Manager Robert Briscoe, Leader Tony Cowen, President Dr Ronnie Kells OBE; performed Overture to the Barber of Seville – Rossini; Hoedown from ‘Rodeo’ – Copland; Its Christmas Time – arr. Custer; Festival of Christmas – Anderson.
Flax Trust Arts Ensemble and City of Belfast Youth Orchestra performed Babe of Bethlehem – Walters; There is a Santa Clause – Sklar & Beguelin, Holiday Favourites – Emerson; Flax Trust Arts Male Ensemble – White Christmas – Berlin.
Soprano Megan Mooney performed Hark the Herald Angel Sings; Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Martin.
Bethany Simpson performed on saxophone The Christmas Song – Wells; Feeling Good – Buble.
The concert concluded with Megan Mooney and Flax Vocal Ensemble with CBYO – O Holy Night – Adams.
