The 27th New York Banquet took place on Wednesday 11th October 2017 at The ‘21’ Club.
Following the cocktail reception Jim Quinn, President, Flax Trust/America welcomed guests and invited Mary Higgins Clark to give the invocation.
Jim Quinn CEcD Exe. Director, City of Hornell IDA and Director Flax Trust/America, reported on Ulster Community Investment Trust (UCIT).
Niall Murray, President, Rockabill Development LLC and Director Flax Trust/America, reported on the School for Social Enterprises in Ireland (SSEI).
Jim Quinn introduced honouree Mike Dowling and Sr. Mary Turley presented the Flax Trust Award. Mike Dowling responded.
Ciaran Madden, Irish Consul General, New York, introduced honourees Patricia and Dr John Brennan. Sr. Mary Turley presented the Flax Trust Awards. Patricia and Dr John Brennan responded.
Jim Quinn invited Professor Paddy Nixon, Vice Chancellor, Ulster University to address guests.
Jim Quinn invited remarks from the gathering. He and Sr Mary thanked guests and drew the proceedings to a close.
