The Flax Trust Presents £5,000 in Bursaries

The Flax Trust presented £5,000 in bursaries at the End of Year Showcase in Music – School of Creative Arts at Queen’s University Belfast in the Harty Room on Thursday 5th June. The performance, compositions and dissertations were some of the fruits from the hard work of the students who will be graduating.

Megan Mooney, soprano, a final year BMus student receives a Bursary from James McGinn and Sr Mary Turley, Flax Trust Classics. Megan has just been offered a place to study at The Royal Irish Academy of Music next year. The Flax Trust Bursary enables her to do this.

Sarah Chisim, a final year double recitalist receives a Flax Trust Bursary from James McGuinn and Sr Mary Turley which will assist her to continue with her performance career while studying for PGCE at University of Ulster at Coleraine.

Siobhan McCafferty receives a Flax Trust Bursary from James McGinn and Sr Mary Turley for the continuance of her music studies. Siobhan is studying with Professor Remus Azoitei at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She will continue to study with Remus and endeavours to study at Masters level at a music college in 2015.
