Mike McCurry, President Public Strategies Washington DC/Director Flax Trust/America introduced Fr Myles Kavanagh C.P. founder/Chairman Flax Trust.

Fr Myles gave an overview of the early days of Flax Trust in Washington – meetings at State Department and Security Council.

Mike O Neil Esq K & L Gates/Director Flax Trust/America gave a financial report.

Jeff Finkle, President & CEO IEDC/Director Flax Trust/America reported on Ulster Community Investment Trust (UCIT).

Mike McCurry introduced a DVD showing cross sections of Flax Trust Bursary recipients from the School for Social Enterprises in Ireland (SSEI); two youth clubs across the divide in North Belfast; Flax Trust Inter Community School Choirs Gala Awards (FISCA) in Belfast City Hall and Post Primary Education grant recipient.

Hon James Walsh K & L Gates/Director Flax Trust/America introduced Honoree Ambassador Paul J Dobriansky.

Following awards presented by Sr Mary Turley Director Flax Trust, guests were addressed by Irish Ambassador to Washington DC Anne Anderson; Norman Huston, Director NI Bureau North America; Susannah Goshko representing British Ambassador Sir Peter Westmacott

Professor Pat O Shea Vice President and Chief Research officer, representing University of Maryland gave an update on the working relationship with the University of Ulster.
