The 27th Flax Trust Rose Bowl Charity Golf Day took place at Massereene Golf Club on Friday, 26th August 2011.  The day was a great success with 23 teams participating and we were even lucky with some very pleasant weather.   The Boyd Partnership team, comprising Les Crawford, Leslie Simpson, Paul Turley and Peter Carson won the overall team prize with a magnificent combined score of 55 points.  In 2nd place Burns & Co with an equally great score of 54 points.  Runners-up with 52 points, Premier Plumbing.  The individual Club and Society prizes were won respectively by  Paddie Agnew with 41 points and Eddie McAteer with 39 points.  A cheque for £5000 was presented on the night by Fr Myles Kavanagh to representatives from the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice.
